Herbert Pearson

Herbert Peter Pearson was born 12/10/30 and his parents were Signe Albertina Carlson and Peter Runbeck Pearson. When Herbert was four years old his father died and his mother raised him alone in Cannon Falls.
Herbert graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1948 and was active in the drama club. At the age of 17, he attempted to join NROTC but his mother wouldn't sign the papers fearing her only son would be sent to serve in the Korean War. When he was 22 years old he was drafted by the army, attended basic training and was sent to Korea to serve in the Korean War. After the Korean War, Herbert met Joyce Marie Pearson in 1958 and were married July 1961. They lived in Spring Lake Park and raised two daughters. Herbert and Joyce were married for 52 years and were members of Fridley Covenant Church.
Herbert obtained a Business Degree from the University of Minnesota and worked for Honeywell for 40 years. He is best known for raising two grandchildren during his retirement, watching sports on TV, yelling at the Vikings and the Twins while watching them on TV, and being a loving husband / father.

Visitation 5-7 PM Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley 763-571-1300. Funeral Service Friday 11:00 A.M. with visitation one hour prior at the Fridley Covenant Church, 6390 University Ave. NE. Interment Lake Jennie Covenant Church Cemetery, Dassel, MN
