Helvi Moisio

Age 92, passed away on May 26, 2011 at Health and Rehabilitation of New Brighton, MN. Born June 17, 1918; she was preceded in death by husband, Eino W. Moisio and stepsister Julia Mylly. Helvi resided in Ironwood, Michigan for 83 years. She entered long term care in New Brighton in 2005 and was a resident there until her death. Helvi was an industrious, hard-working woman. She had a great sense of humor, and was loved by everyone. She was born in Kurikka, Finland and immigrated to America at the age of 4. Survived by daughter Margo (Leslie) Kuivanen; granddaughters Laureen (Dennis) Kappers and Cheryl (Mark) Rosen; great grandchildren Erin and Jason Kappers and Brandon and Tyler Rosen. Helvia�(TM)s family extends its deepest thanks and sincere appreciation to the entire staff at Health and Rehabilitation of New Brighton for their years of love, care, and support they have extended to Helvi. A private Memorial service for immediate family members will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Brighton. Inurnment will be in Ironwood.
