Harlan Hokanson

Harlan G. Hokanson, age 89, died on Monday, April 11, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was born December 2, 1932, in Minneapolis, MN, the oldest child of Gilbert and Inga Hokanson.

Harlan will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 68 years, Joanne, his children: Jeff and Lila Hokanson, Jerry and Peg Hokanson, Judy (Hokanson) and Robert Lachinski, Jill (Hokanson) and Mark Lambert, Jaci (Hokanson) Hawley and Terry Randall, brothers Warren and Roger Hokanson, 16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Inga Hokanson, brother Larry Hokanson, sister Marilyn (Hokanson) Erickson, and great-grandchild Lewis O’Donnell.

Harlan was well-known as a successful painting contractor and ran his family business for many years. Once retired, he loved spending time golfing at his homes in Ham Lake, MN, and Naples, FL, and hunting & fishing at his lake home in Longville, MN. Harlan will be remembered by family and friends as a loving husband and father.

Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22nd at Miller Funeral Home with Gathering one hour prior.

Inurnment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
