These were Glorias own words, "I started searching for spiritual reality when I was just a child, wondering where I would go if I should die. My Aunt Gerda sparked my interest by giving me a Christian novel as a confirmation gift.", and as she put it "still searching for answers."
Gloria served 22 years at Spring Lake Park Assembly of God Church ( now Pleasant View Deaf Assembly of God) as Sunday School teacher, Sunday School secretary, mission promoter, nursery photographer and Church book keeper. Gloria was creative and artistic. She enjoyed doing crafts, crochet, cross stitching, puzzles, photography, reading, crossword puzzles, playing board games and bicycle riding. She loved trying new recipes and cooking for family and friends. She loved to write, send and receive letters. The high point of many of her days was walking out to the Mailbox and receiving a letter in the mail.
Gloria was a hard worker; cooking, cleaning, ironing clothes and working in the garden. She loved cats, but even more so, she loved and cherished her family, friends, and relatives. But most importantly she loved God. She had a very steadfast walk with her Lord and Savior. She did not waiver from her faith and always set a great example to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
