Newgaard, Geraldean A. "Gerry" age 70 of Sauk Centre, formerly of Fridley.
On December 7th 1948, Geraldean (Gerry) Ann Hutchings was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI to Ralph and Joan (Saeman) Hutchings, the second of what would end up to be eight children (Kathy (Jim) Goucher, Mary (Mike) Ruprecht, Tom (Karen) Hutchings, Candi (Dave) Shearen, Carla (Tom) Sanders, Mark (Kelly) Hutchings, and Theresa (Mark) Smith). She grew up in Cross Plains, WI about 16 mi West of Madison. In 1966 when she was about to be a senior in high school, the family moved to White Bear Lake, MN. She graduated from White Bear Lake High School and went to work for Sperry. After about a year, she moved back to Madison and lived there for several years. In 1970 she moved back to MN and gave birth to her only child, Tammy Jean (Tony) Rajtar. She has four grandsons: Justin Hutchings, Trevor, Zach, and Gabe Rajtar. She lived in White Bear Lake and worked for a variety of Title Companies primarily as a Mortgage closer, ending her career as the Manager of the back-office preparation of Mortgage Documents. In June of 1995, she married her beloved Dave Newgaard and moved to Fridley. She remained in Fridley until retirement when she and Dave built their dream home on Sauk Lake in Sauk Centre, MN. Dave passed away in July 2013 leaving Gerry alone for the next six years. She passed away peacefully with most of her loved ones surrounding her on Sunday September 8, 2019. She is reunited with Dave and those loved ones who have gone before her. We will forever love and miss her until we are again together for eternity. Preceded in death by husband, David. Survived by daughter, Tammy (Tony) Rajtar; grandsons, Justin Hutchings, Trevor, Zach and Gabe Rajtar; 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10 AM with visitation one hour prior at the Church of St. Williams, 6120 5th St. NE, Fridley. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
