Gerald Neubauer stepped peacefully into the presence of his precious Lord and Savior on February 6, 2025. He was welcomed by his wife Sue (Workman), daughter Marjorie, son David, parents, sister and grandson.
Gerald was born to Otto and Vera (Naas) on May 22, 1933 in Minot, North Dakota. He was known as "Bud" to those who knew him in his early years. At age 17, he left the family farm to serve in the U.S. Navy for the next 20 years. While stationed in Norfolk, VA, he met his beloved wife on a blind date. They were married for 67 years and reared 3 children.
Jerry loved to garden and it gave him great joy to share from abundance of his garden with folks around him. He is remembered as a hard worker who faithfully provided for his family without complaint. He was able to fix most anything. He loved lefse, sour cream raisin pie and rosettes all made by his wife. He also loved his church, Woodcrest Baptist Church of Fridley.
When he was no longer able to garden, Jerry enjoyed reading his Bible and telling others of Jesus Christ and inviting them to attend his church. He looked forward to the Friday visits from his pastor.
Gerald is survived by his daughter Rebecca (Dan), brother Jim (Donna), sister Sharon, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Private interment at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids.
