Gabrielle Marie Meister age 19 of Milaca, formerly of Fridley.
Gabrielle (Gabie) Marie Meister was born on 7/27/2000 in Minneapolis Minnesota. Gabie passed away suddenly unexpectedly on 12/19/2019 at the age of 19 years old in Milaca, Minnesota. She was diagnosed at the age of 11 years old with type one diabetes. Although she was not always diligent on checking her blood sugars and taking her insulin. She never let diabetes stop her. For several years Gabie participated in the the walk for the cure for type one diabetes at the Mall of America. When she was in school in Plymouth, MN. Gabie was awarded a certificate and a trip to the Twins game and able to go onto the field prior to the game from Park Nicollet for her help in teaching other students her age about diabetes and how to go about treating it. With a zest for life Gabs wanted to conquer the world. She had a dream of after graduation in becoming a pediatric diabetes nurse but first wanted to become a phlebotomist and learn how to draw blood. She graduated from Milaca High School in Milaca, Minnesota in May of 2019. On the top of her graduation cap they were allowed to decorate them. Gabs favorite saying was what she chose " The best is yet to come". Gabie was wise beyond her years. With a blessed soul and heart to match. Always was there for everyone she came in contact with with a big hug and a smile. She was an angel down here on Earth for a short amount of time but left an impact on everyone that came in to contact with. Now up in heaven Gabs is looking down upon us all with that infectious smile that she always had. Smiling at everyone she loves and everyone who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Frances Meister; many great and great-great grandparents; great uncle's, Donald D, John R. & Rob W. (Cousin but she called him her uncle); many other great uncles, cousins, friends & extended family.
She is survived by her mother & father, Jennifer & Kelly Lewis; her puppers, Jax; grandparents, Terry & Sandy Lewis; great-grandmother's, Maryjane L. & Betty S; special 2nd family, Dan, Laura, Caitlin, Breanna & Americus Murphy; brothers, Joshua (Monica) H., Devin L.; sisters, Rebecca (Liam) O., Ashley O., Casey L., Jaiden L. & Allanna L.; uncles, Craig (Alex, Luke) M., Jason (Stacy, Max & Brody) M., James ( Amber, Mike, Heather, Jamie, Jake & Abby) M.; aunts, Pam ( Julie, David, Mike) M., Paula ( Jessie, Tommy) M., Michelle ( Frank, Jeremy) B., Shannon ( Brad, Katie, Dylan, Alyssa, Jordan & Finn) B.; Grandma, Shirley G.; many great aunts & uncles, first & second cousins & extended family, coworkers, friends and classmates.
