Forrest Decker

Decker, Forrest R.
Age 90, passed away on March 7, 2013 at the Minneapolis Veterans Home from Alzheimer's Disease. Prior to his illness he had lived in East Bethel (Cedar), MN for about 45 years. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas & Carrye Decker; sisters, Barbara Martin, Carol Budish; and grandson, John Glass. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy; children, Bruce (Peggy), Linda (Lyle) Glass, Tom (Sheila), Dotty (Jim) Bethke, Jim (Laura), and Patrick (Cindy). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He proudly served in the Army during WWII as an airplane mechanic. Forrest was a volunteer firefighter for the East Bethel Fire Dept. for many years, retired from the St. Paul Pioneer Press Newspaper, and longtime member of Woodcrest Baptist Church in Fridley.
Celebration of Forrest's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 HWY 65 NE, Fridley. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment at Oak Leaf Cemetery, East Bethel. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Children's Hospital in memory of John Glass.
