Florence Mae Anderson, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Glacial Ridge Hospital of Glenwood, MN.
Mae was born on October 29, 1929, in Montreal, Canada, and was the daughter of Charles and Grace Baggett.
Traveling with her family in their Christian ministry, she became a talented singer and developed her art skills which added a special dimension to her father's sermons. Immigrating to the United States, she became a Naturalized US Citizen and attended art school, worked for the city of Minneapolis, sang in church choirs, and was very proud of her Welsh heritage. She was an active member of the St David's Society of Minnesota where she served as a past president and enjoyed arranging and hosting visiting singers from Wales to America.
Don and Mae participated in many community and church programs, but primarily enjoyed travel, particularly the trips they took to Wales and England.
Mae is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Donald; and sister, Audrey Scott.
She is survived by her son, Jerome and wife Holly Anderson; many grandchildren; niece, Cindy Greywind; and nephews, Sam Scott Jr, Steve Scott and Stan Scott.
Pallbearers at her service will be her nephews and family friend, James Norman of Salem Covenant Church.
Funeral Service at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley, on Monday, Nov 23, 11am. Visitation will be ½ hour prior to services. Memorials to Salem Covenant Church or St David’s Society of MN Foundation. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
