Schmidt, Eugene Bryson, passed away May 12, 2013. He was a union Electrician for 55 years. Preceded in death by loving wife, Marian; brother, Lloyd and sister, Ruth. Survived by children; Ruth (Luke)Havumaki, Rod (Emily), Marilyn (Butch) Kluver, Alan (Laura). Grandchildren Bryson (Christina) Havumaki, Catrina Havumaki, Anna Havumaki, Nora Schmidt, Erica Schmidt, Molly (Ryan) Sorenson, Mary (DJ) Kittelson, Danny (Jenel)Palm, Bobbi (Josh)Steidl, Johan (Amanda) Schmidt, Kimberly Schmidt, and April Schmidt. Also 8 Great Grandchildren. Eugene was a native to Princeton, Mn., graduated, then joined the National Guard. His company was called for the Korean Conflict. He married his high school sweet heart Marian Schlekau for 47 years. Gene loved tinkering, he built 2 campers (one on a hearse). He loved to vacation with his family and traveled all over the US. the trips included sight-seeing, fishing trips to Canada and he also participated in annual Army reunions. He was an avid card player, deer hunter, family mechanical counselor, "Dial Grandpa". He also was willing to joke and play with 8 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and we all love him. Funeral services Thursday May 16, 2013 at 7 pm with a visitation starting at 5pm at Miller Funeral Home in Fridley. Burial services will be Friday May 17, 2013 at 10:30 am at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery
