Eleanor Carlson

March 22, 1934 — June 27, 2017

Eleanor was born on March 22, 1934 in Pine City, MN. She was one of six children, Carl (JoAnn), Delphine (Edward), Johanne, Donny (Verlys) and Lenny born to Nick and Caroline Stoffel. She graduated high school in 1951. Shortly after graduation, Eleanor moved to the Cities where she became a bank teller. She also worked in manufacturing for various companies. She retired from CyberOptics.
On October 8, 1955, Eleanor married Marlin Carlson. They had six children: Wayne, Ron, Cheryl (Dave), Judy (Dale), Marianne and Jodi. She has nine grandchildren: Joe (Molly), Blake, Robin (Jason), Nicole, Patrick, David, Katie, Michael and Carson. She also has six great-grandchildren: Makaya, Marlin, Coleton, Kayla, Hunter and Hudson.
Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Caroline; her husband, Marlin; her son, Wayne; her great-granddaughter, Kayla, sister, Delphine.
In her spare time, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, visiting with people from her church and watching the MN Twins.
She will be missed, but her spirit will live in the heart of each and every one of us.
Visitation Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at Miller's On University, 7398 University Ave NE, with Prayer Service at 7PM. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, June 30, 10:30AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 835 2nd Ave NW, New Brighton 651-633-8333, with visitation 1 hour prior to mass. Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery, Mpls.
