Edna Zeller

Zeller, Edna Marie (Blakstad) age 90, passed away December 6, 2013. Edna was born in Goodhue Township on May 23, 1923. She went to a country school through eighth grade and graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1942. In 1944, Edna married her high school sweetheart, Roland Zeller. Edna and Roland raised 2 children, Michael and Bonnie, in their Fridley home of 57 years. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on February 8, 2013. Edna had great faith in God and was a devoted member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church for over 50 years. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew & Josephine Blakstad; 2 brothers, Alvin and Peter Blakstad; and 3 sisters, Julia Flom, Alma Hagen and Palma Swiggum. Edna will be deeply missed as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Edna is survived by husband, Roland; daughter, Bonnie Jean (Terry) Pettipiece; son, Michael (Diane) Zeller; grandsons, Sean Pettipiece, Dana (Jamee) Pettipiece and Keith Stark; great-grandchildren, Alex Stark (18), Ashley Pettipiece (17), Nathan Stark (15), Zachary Pettipiece (14), Riley Pettipiece (11) and Turner Pettipiece (3); also many nieces and nephews and close family and friends. Memorial service at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 6180 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 12:00 PM. Visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be a private service at a later date the Berne Cemetery in West Concord, MN.
