Doris Gorecki

Doris Mae Gorecki, age 79, passed away on Saturday March 17th, 2018.  Doris was born and raised in Lake Henry, MN where her parents Otto and Ann Waldorf operated Otto’s Place for many years.  She worked in the bar growing up and went on to business school.  She married her husband Gerald in 1959 and raised her family.  Doris enjoyed reading, shopping, going to the Casino, baseball, football, and being with her family and friends.  Doris enjoyed many happy years with her husband Gerald and family at Smith Lake Resort during the summer where many adventures were had.  One word to describe Doris is kindness.  Doris had a kind and compassionate heart.  She was always there to lend a shoulder to lean on or to cook a scrumptious meal for her family and friends.  Doris is survived by daughter,.  Lynn Bowton, daughter Joan Gorecki (Thomas), son John Gorecki (Val); granddaughter Emily Bowton (Kyle); granddaughter Andrea Gorecki and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by husband, Gerald  Gorecki; parents, Otto and Ann Waldorf; sister, Carol Logan.
