Donald Harrier

March 31, 1943 — April 16, 2016

Don was born on March 31, 1943 in Anoka, and passed away on April 16, 2016 in Blaine.

He is preceded in death by parents, William and Doris Harrier; brothers Edward and Richard Harrier.

Don is survived by wife, Gerri; daughters, Michelle (Mark) Sundstrom, Traci Melberg; sons, Stewart (Debbie) Biegler, Troy Mangels, Richard Mangels; grandchildren, Stewart (Lauren) Biegler IV, Josh Melberg, Brittani Melberg, Steven Pierce, Nicholas and Christopher Sundstrom; brother, W.D. (Carol) Harrier, as well as many nieces and nephews.

During most of his life, Don was a truck driver. In 1975, he purchased his first semi-truck and became an owner operator. Don and Gerri's other family were all of his Crow Wing Trucking buddies and their families.
He was leased to Landstar-Inway in April, 2000 until he retired in August, 2007.

He was a member of the New Brighton Eagles Aerie 3718 where he enjoyed donating his time and many activities with his Eagle brothers and sisters.

Don enjoyed camping with special friends, Jerry and Cathy Bergeron and Fran and Karen Halley as well as many other special friends.

Winters were spent traveling with Gerri in their motor home to Rockport, TX, Arizona and Las Vegas where they have made many friends. While traveling, you could find him fishing or in the casino and playing bingo. When at home, Don loved his fishing and on most days could be found on Long Lake Pier waiting for the big one.

Don loved his family and the many friends he made all across the United States and Canada. His family and friends loved him deeply. He will be missed by them all.
