Diann Grace Loff, 85, daughter of Charles W. Koehn and Gertrude E. Koehn (Krueger), died Monday, June 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at North Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in New Hope. Diann was born on March 4, 1932 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Her family moved to Lakefield, Minnesota, where she attended school and was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Following her graduation from the Mankato Commercial College, Diann set off to find her fortune in the big city of Minneapolis, living in the Mabeth Paige women's dormitory and working, first for the Federal Milk Market Administration, and later in the business office of the Greyhound Bus Company.
Diann first met Marvin R. Loff when he asked her if she knew how to polka. The happy couple were married on June 14, 1958 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Diann and Marvin first made their home in Blaine, Minnesota, and then moved to Spring Lake Park in 1964, where she lived for over 50 years. The Loff family was long time members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, the VFW and the American Legion. Diann was an avid bridge and "500" player.
Diann is survived by two sons, Steven (Linda) of Edina and Eric (Sarah) of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; two sisters, Leila (Merle)Sellman of Naples, Florida, and Shirley (Arlund) Brockman of Rapid City, South Dakota; five grandchildren, Jacob, Morgan, Andrew, Allan and Katherine "Rosie" Loff; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Diann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marvin who passed away in 2008; two sisters, Harriet Bonick and Marlys Allen; her brother Arlis Koehn; infant sister Jeanette; and two very adored dogs, Peppy and Pig.
Memorial service Tuesday, June 13th at 11AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 7700 Monroe St. NE, Spring Lake Park, with visitation 1 hr. prior. Reception to follow, with interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
