Diana Alferness

Alferness, Diana L. age 74, of Fridley, passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2010 with her loving husband, Gary at her bedside. Diana was born on August 13, 1935 in Mandan, ND, grew up and graduated from high school in Mitchell, SD. After graduation, she worked for many years for White Way Cleaners in Minneapolis. She loved to read, write, travel and spend time with her family and many friends. She and her husband were active members of the Emmanuel Christian Center. Survived by her beloved husband, Gary; twin sister, Dawn (Harvey) Hopkins; sister, Sandra Rice. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Billie Solum and brother, Steve Solum. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, 11 AM with visitation 1 hr. prior at the Emmanuel Christian Center, 7777 University Ave. NE, Spring Lake Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
