Dennis Smolich

Dennis John Smolich, age 76, of Fridley, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester (Martha) Smolich & son, Baby Boy Smolich. Dennis is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Smolich; children, Jackie (Duane) Shoebridge & Bob (Biana) Smolich; siblings, Diane (Matt) Thompson, Sandra (Kenneth) Erickson; grandchildren, Ian, William & Elianna Shoebridge. Dennis was a veteran of the United States Air Force, the University of Minnesota Police Department and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office where he retired after 30 years of service. He also leaves behind his extended family at Lifetime Fitness, where he was a permanent fixture and dedicated member for the past 25 years. Dennis was a passionate golfer and leaves behind many friends with whom he shared his love for the game. Burial will take place at 12, noon, on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Procession for the interment will leave Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432, at 11 AM. Memorial service will follow the interment at Miller Funeral Home at 3 PM, with a visitation one hour prior.
