Deloris Lund

August 5, 1932 — November 21, 2015

Deloris Evelyn Lund, age 83 of Minneapolis passed away to be with our Lord, November 21, 2015 at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, peacefully from cancer, surrounded by her family. Deloris was born to William and Augusta (Bratts) Barta on August 5, 1032 in Miltona Township, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Miltona, where she attended school from fifth through eighth grade. She graduated from Alexandria High School in 1950, where she especially enjoyed art classes.
After graduation Deloris lived and worked in Alexandria until 1954 when she moved to Minneapolis where she was employed by the First Produce State Bank. After that, she worked as an inspector at Minnesota Rubber Co. in St. Louis Park, retiring from there in 2001 after 34 years of service. The highlights of her life was being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren, the MN. State Fair which she attended almost everyday each year, going to parks, Minnehaha Falls, Minnesota Zoo, dancing, the color green.Deloris was preceded in death by her parents; brother Everett Barta; sister Violet Hilgren; brother in law Harold Hilgren; and beloved cats & dogs. Deloris is survived by her daughter, Holly Lund and son in law Damian Turner; grandchildren, Shalon-Rai (Jason), Kean (Jessica), Reed, Trent (Dara), Bryer (Kelly); great grandchildren Kayla & Kody; sister, Lovera (Lovie) and brother in law, Ardon Olson; sister in law, Iris Barta; also nieces and nephews, extended family and friends and beloved pets Mo-Jo, Junky and Rambo.
