Deb Ahrenholz, 69, of Champlin, Minnesota died on Friday, February 15, 2019, after suffering a stroke. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Miller Funeral Home in Fridley, Minnesota with Pastor Craig Case officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation is from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, February 25. Memorials may be directed to the family and will be donated to Samaritan’s Purse.
Deb was born September 29, 1949, to Alvin and Helen (Thorn) Meyer. On November 30, 1968, she was united in marriage to Steve Ahrenholz. They moved around the country, making their home in South Carolina, Colorado, Washington, and Indiana before moving to Minnesota. Deb worked in a variety of office settings including the American Heart Association, 2nd Christian Reformed Church (Denver), Faith Christian Reformed Church (New Brighton), and the Billy Graham Association. She was a member of Maple Grove Community Church in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Deb's true joy in life came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Deb is survived by her husband Steve, daughter Jennifer Ahrenholz of Fridley, Minnesota, daughter Joy (Joe) Ahrenholz of Albertville, Minnesota, and son Daniel Ahrenholz of Valparaiso, Indiana; 9 grandchildren; brother Dean (Jan) Meyer, brothers-in-law Lyle (Ardi) Ahrenholz, David (Willie) Ahrenholz and sister-in-law Sue (Al) Wisselink. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Helen Meyer; and brother Vincent.
