Dean Linnell

Dean Linnell, 64, of Crystal, MN, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He was born in St. Paul, MN to Charles and Esther Linnell (later Esther Atkins) on April 5th, 1958. Dean graduated from Robbinsdale-Armstrong High School in 1976 and from Hamline University in 1980. Dean worked in the transportation industry starting in 1986 for many years as a bus driver for various bus companies and then most recently as a bus dispatcher since 2009 for First Transit. Dean had a kind and caring heart and a natural commitment to serving others. He was one of the nicest people one could ever meet. He was preceded in death by his parents including stepfather George Atkins, and grandparents. Dean is survived by his wife of 19 years Joan Linnell, aunt Mary Linnell of Robbinsdale, MN, uncle John Marshall of Nashville, TN and several cousins.

Memorial service will be held at St. Barnabas Lutheran Church, 15600 Old Rockford Road, Plymouth, MN 55446 on Saturday, April 1st, 2023, at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to memorial service. Inurnment at the St. Barnabas Lutheran Church Columbarium with lunch immediately following at the church. The service will be Livestreamed at: stbarnabaslutheran.org. Memorials to be directed to St. Barnabas Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
