David Neu

Neu, David L.

Age 80 of Fridley passed away February 15, 2019. He was born in Minneapolis, MN. Preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Amanda Neu, 2 brothers Arthur and John and 2 sisters Violet and Audrey.

He worked for Sears for 24 years and was a retired Navy Reserve Veteran but also spent time in the Air Force. He worked for the railroad and was a DJ at a radio station in Marshall, MN. He was a member of the Fridley American Legion.

David was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed calling bingo at the Senior Center, spending time with his children, watching westerns, reading, traveling, making people smile and many thought he had an infectious laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary Ann, sons Mark (Debra) Neu and David (Matt) Neu-Anderson and daughter Debbie Neu; 2 step-sons David (Eileen) Waterman and Michael (Tammy) Waterman; grandchildren Billy Neu, Tommy Neu, Lindsay (Christian) Banks and Kelsey Neu, Nate Waterman, Casey (Janele) Waterman and Kyle (Liz) Waterman; and 2 great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 19 at Fridley United Methodist Church, 680 Mississippi St NE, Fridley, MN. Visitation will be 10-11, services at 11. Interment will be at a later date.
