Dale Lindberg

Dale William Lindberg, age 91, passed away at Lakewood Healthcare Senior campus in Staples, MN on August 15th, 2014.
Preceeded in death by his wife of 62 years, Helen K. Lindberg; Parents Charles William and Nan Sophia (Larson) Lindberg; brother Leo, M Lindberg; Sister, Verda N Walker.
Survived by two sons, James (Kathy) Lindberg of Coon Rapids, MN, Curtis (Susan) Lindberg, of Isle, MN; daughter, Carla (Ken) LaPorte, of Pillager, MN; 13 grandchildren; 29 Great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Betty Sterns of Waukee, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
Dale was born on January 16th, 1923 in Crawford County, near Kiron, Iowa. He graduated from Kiron High school in 1940 and then attended Bethel Jr. College. While attending college, he was drafted in to the Army Air Corps in 1943. He served 3 ½ years as a C47 Pilot in the far eastern air force and as a twin engine pilot instructor, Pacos, Texas. After returning home, he resumed his Bethel College studies and graduated in 1947. Dale and Helen were married on December 28th, 1946. Dale was in sales and management with the standard oil company and Broker/Realtor and management with Bermel Smaby realty and Edina Realty companies until his retirement in 1991. He was wonderful, hardworking and good provider. He was loving and caring dad and grandfather. He loved the Lord, his Savior Jesus Christ, and served him faithfully as church chairman, Deacon, Sunday school teacher for Brooklyn Center Baptist Church. He was also on the board of Twin Cities Christian Homes. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Funeral service will be at Grace Point (Salem Baptist) Church, 2351 Rice Creek Rd, New Brighton on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 11 am. Visitation at 10 am.
