Beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Cleo Maine Johnson entered God’s Kingdom on August 7, 2022. Cleo was born to John Edward Altman and Irene Emaline Altman on July 5, 1933, in Mora, MN. She attended school in Ogilvie and graduated there in 1950. Although Cleo grew up with four brothers, she had a gentle and loving heart for those around her. From a young age, Cleo immersed herself in nature. From the time she had a fawn as a pet, through caring for the wild deer on her own property, Cleo has always cared for God’s creatures. In 1953, she married Robert Victor Johnson, after meeting at a Valentine’s Dady dance at Ann Lake. She worked at Sunshine Bakery with Robert until their daughter Linda was born in August of 1955. Cleo belonged to Church of St. William in Fridley MN. She was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She loved the church and loved sharing the love and warmth of our Savior, Jesus Crist. She now joins her parents, four brothers, and husband in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members, including her brother, Duane, daughter Linda, grandchildren, Rachel, Mathew, and Elizabeth, and great grandchildren, Peter, Espen, Serena, and Trever. Cleo always let her light shine. Her light shines on through all of her family and friends she touched. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 11:00 AM, visitation at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. William, 6120 5th St NE, Fridley, MN 55432.
