Petersen, Clarence A.
Age 95 of Fridley. Born August 29, 1918, passed away June 14, 2014 (Flag Day).
Longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fridley. Preceded in death by wife, Eunice of 39 years, special friend Marge Anderson, parents Chris and Laura, brothers Ford and Lester, sisters Wilemina Johannsen, Eleanor Roberg. Survived by sister Evangeline Raven of Altoona, WI and numerous nieces and nephews.
Proudly served in the Army Air Force during WWII flying 26 missions over Germany in B-17 Bombers. His service earned him numerous citations including; Distinguished Flying Cross, Presidential Citation, 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, WWII Victory Medal and Purple Heart.
Family members want to express their gratitude for the warm welcome and loving care he received at The Landmark of Fridley and Benedictine Health Center, New Brighton.
Clarence was dearly loved and will be deeply missed but we know he will be welcomed home by family, friends and he can't wait to get a cribbage game started.
Visitation Wednesday June 18 from 4-7pm at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Highway 65 NE, Fridley. Funeral Service Thursday June 19, 11:00am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 61 Mississippi Way, Fridley with one hour visitation prior to services.
