Cheryl Lynn Manderschied died on February 18, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She passed away in her home in Brooklyn Park with family by her side. She was 74 years old.
Cheryl was born in Marshall, Minnesota to parents Lester and Dorine Johnson. She attended Southwest MN State University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education.
Following graduation she taught at Crosby Ironton and then at St. Anne's school in Minneapolis. She loved teaching and was a great influence on her students. After teaching she began a second career as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator through which she continued to lead and inspire others.
In addition to teaching and stamping she loved sports and was an avid Timberwolves basketball fan. She also loved spending time with her family.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Randy; daughter, Megan; sisters, Joey Lobdell and Donna Petersen; other loving family and friends.
A private service will be held at St. Philip's Lutheran Church in Fridley. A Celebration of Life is being planned for later in the spring. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
