Beverly Lynne Gordon was born April 13, 1946, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Raymond and Bonnie Gordon.
Bev received her Associates of Science in Nursing from Anoka Ramsey Community College. She worked 38 years as a RN. The last 35 years at Fairview Health Services. She began her carrier as a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and then spent the last 20 years as a Pre-Admission Nurse. Her passion for patients and their families was apparent every moment.
Her interests included family, cooking, gardening, painting and reading. She devoted much of her time and energy to family members. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
Many have fond memories of Bev's passion for cooking. She would read cookbooks like a novel. And it was always "nothing fancy"; however, there would always be enough to feed a village!
Bev lived a life of service to others. She served with open arms and an open heart. She was not one to pass judgement and loved others regardless of where they were in their journey.
Bev spent most of her life living in Blaine, MN. She also had a home on Lake Osakis and spent the winters in Brownsville, TX where they enjoyed many wonderful winters together.
One year ago Bev was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She faced the battle with great grace and courage. She spent the last year trying various treatments. She still travelled a few times with her husband. She mostly spent time with family and friends. She never stopped smiling and having a positive attitude. She taught many lessons to family and friends through her brave battle.
Beverly Lynne Brama passed away beautifully and peacefully in her home on March 21, 2016, with her family by her side in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Her final days were spent surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bonnie Gordon.
