Betty Ann Sonnenberg, 83 of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, died suddenly of a heart attack, Thursday Sept. 25, at Unity Hospital in Fridley, MN. She was born in Titonka, Iowa where she attended grade and high school. Betty attended one year at Wartburg College before graduating from Mercy School of Nursing, Mason City, Iowa. She worked as a Registered Nurse at a number of locations but as a Red Cross Blood mobile nurse the last years of her employment. Betty had many interest; friends, family, church, cooking for St. Philip's Lutheran Church and her "family" at Oak Crest senior living. Her biggest passion was knitting. Numerous people can attest to this as they were recipients of her knitting work. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lina Sonnenberg of Titonka, Iowa. She is survived by a brother, Rev. Harris and his wife Carol of Fayetteville, Ark. Nephew, Dan Sonnenberg of Moline, Ill, nieces Julie (Kent) Girard of Milaca, Minn. And Jane (Robert) Coffin of Fayetteville, Ark., eight grandnephews and nieces and one great grandnephew, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
