Bertha Lund, age 91, of Columbia Heights, Minnesota passed into God's loving arms on Sunday, November 6th. Bertie died at home of natural causes. Her prayer was to stay in her home until her death and God faithfully answered her prayer.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Leslie and 2 sons, Michael and Mark Lund. She is survived by daughters, Joan Bush and Robin(Gunnar) Hayes; 4 grandchildren, Robert Bush, Giselle Hayes, Layla Hayes and Nicole(Jared) Swanagen and 3 great-grandchildren, Jeremy Bush, Norah Swanagen and Emerie Swanagen.
Bertie was born in McComb, Mississippi and lived there until she met her future husband, Leslie at a USO dance during WWII. They married, lived and raised 4 children in the Twin Cities until Leslie's death in 2000.
Her passion and joy in life was her family. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
She is now in heaven where God has greeted her with the words, "Well done my good and faithful servant."
