Berdell Schmidt

Berdell Audrey Schmidt, age 91, of Columbia Heights passed away June 29, 2018 of natural causes. Born in 1927 and raised in Wabasso, MN.

She is preceded in death by loving husband, Ronald; parents, Ruby and Mayme Druck; siblings, Fern Gemlo, Raymond Druck, Genevieve Stokes, Fadlyce Earsom; and her beloved cat, Sadie. Berdell is survived by her children; Timothy (Karen), Gary (Janice), Jon (June); grandchildren, Max, Jessica, Lindsay, Kelly, Amelia, Sarah, Allison; great grandchildren, Nolan, Emmett, Hayden; sister, Belva Vukovich; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a Republican, Vikings fan, enjoyed casino trips, loved to dance, and was faithful to her German heritage. She will be fondly remembered for her feisty demeanor and dedication to her family. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Kathryn Bastyr, Janet Olson, and Kindred Hospice for the care they provided.

A memorial service will be held at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Highway 65 NE, Fridley; on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11:00AM with a visitation one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Coon Rapids Animal Humane Society or the Wildcat Sanctuary of Sandstone.
