Bloom, Audrey M. age 81 of Fridley passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 30, 2015. She loved and lived for her family.
Audrey was born on April 21, 1934 at her home in NE Minneapolis. She was married at the young age of 16 to her sweetheart Herb and they spent the rest of their lives together raising 5 beautiful children, Marcia Halverson(John), Herb Bloom Jr.(Martha), Sheila Langton (Barry), Cindy Peterson (Brad) and Tom Bloom (Lori). Audrey and Herb taught their children how to love and raise a family. Because of that love there were 9 grandchildren that Audrey loved. Amy Schreiber (Darrin), Brian Halverson (Aimee) Jeff Langton, Jenny Langton, Ryan Peterson (Alena), Dan Peterson, Samantha Bloom, Wyatt Bloom, Tyson Bloom. From that love there are great grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren. All because of the love and guidance this family was created and loved by Audrey.
She spent her life dedicated to raising her family and loving them. Life wasn't always easy for her but she always fought through the tough times knowing that the love of her family would carry her through. She worked a little throughout her life but was fortunate that the love of her life, Herb, was a very hard working man and did what he had to do to ensure she could stay home and raise her family. Her friends were very important to her including her close friends until the end Jerry and Joanne Kangas. There are so many friends that it is difficult to mention them all but they know who they are. They also know that she was a great friend and someone who really cared for them. She held her friends close to her heart.
Her strength and dedication really showed in the last years of her life as she fought through many illnesses. These illnesses were very serious and when her family thought that the end was near she showed us the strength and courage to live longer. It was quite remarkable.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Herb; her sisters, Ione and Betty; and her brother Donny.
Celebration of Life on Friday, September 4 from 11:30-1:30 at Miller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the National Kidney Foundation or American Cancer Society.
