Arella M. "Lolly" Sarette (nee Alt) of Fridley, age 80, passed away on July 8th.
Lolly was educated at St. Clara Academy in Sinsinawa Wisconsin, and received her RN degree at Loras College in Dubuque Iowa. A long-time nurse in the Minneapolis area, she worked at Fridley Convalescent Home, Presbyterian Home in Roseville, and New Brighton Care Center where she was both Inservice Director and Director of Nursing.
Preceded in death by father, Clarence Alt; mother Philomena; and brothers Meldon and Myron. Lolly is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Fred; sons Mark (Stacy), Steven (Cindy), and Richard; five granddaughters, one grandson; brother, Vernon Alt of Elysian Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A kind and loving mother and wife, Lolly was a woman of deep faith. She had a genuine warmth and enthusiasm for working with the elderly and she had a great joy for people and life.
Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday July 14th 11 AM with visitation one hour earlier at St. Williams Catholic Church, 6120 5th Street Northeast in Fridley. Visitation also 5-8 PM Tuesday with 7 PM vigil prayer at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Highway 65 NE Fridley (768) 571-1300. Internment St. John's Cemetery, New Brighton. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
