Anna Belle Losness

Anna Belle (Balog) Losness, age 90, of Fridley, MN passed away on November 16, 2024 at Benedictine in New Brighton, MN. Ann was born on February 18, 1934, in Barron, WI to Anton "Tony" and Lillia Balog. She was one of twelve children which may have contributed to her strong-willed nature. 

Ann loved her family, friends, neighbors, baking, bingo, reciting family birth dates and any "doings" at the Fridley American Legion Post 303 or with the Coon Rapids Lioness Club. She had a strong spirit for volunteering and worked a variety of jobs over the years until finally giving into retirement at 71.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her eleven brothers and sisters; her husband Duane of 28 years; and more recently her daughter Diane (Losness) Wadsten in February 2024. 

She is survived by her son Doug (Laurie) Losness, granddaughters Rachel and Hayley Losness, grandsons Eric (Meredith) Wadsten, Matthew (Allie) Wadsten, Michael (Catherine) Wadsten, six great-grandchildren whom she loved "very, very much" and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation for Ann will be held on Friday, 11/22/24 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home in Fridley, MN with reception to follow. A private interment will be held at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis, MN.
