Anna Broton

Anna Mae (Skarperud) Broton passed away on Saturday March 21, 2015. She courageously maintained her 94 years of vital living while confronting the effects of cancer since 2006. Preceded in death by husband, John Broton at 79 years, and great-grandson Trevor Broton at three years and four siblings.

A Mayville, North Dakota farm girl, Seattle bride, long-time resident of Richfield MN, Ventura, CA, and final residence in Fridley, MN.

Anna was a teacher of Special Education with Osseo School District, a golfer, a family advocate, mother, friend, and a special treasure to us all.

She leaves her memories to daughter, Diane Egland; son, Michael Broton; granddaughters, Lisa Gertner, Nacole Hause; grandson, Chad Broton, their spouses and families; sister, Helen Baker, spouse and family. Anna has 5 living great-grandchildren; Nick and Matt Gertner, Ella and Adam Hause, and Troy Broton.

Celebration of life service will be held at St. Philip's Church, 6180 Highway 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432 on April 7 at 11 AM. Visitation with family and friends will be held 1 hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the church social hall.
