Anita Kalbrener

Anita Lynn (Beyer) Kalbrener, age 77 of New Brighton, passed away peacefully in the presence of her children on October 27, 2015. Lynn was born to Bob and Jessie Beyer in Sewickely, Pennsylvania on September 10, 1938. She grew up the oldest of five girls on her family's farm in Metamora, Michigan and learned to truly enjoy the satisfaction of a day's work. She loved gardening and had a passion for creating good healthy food. She was a crafter, master organizer, thoughtful historian and nature lover. She was married to Tom Kalbrener for 30 years, and was a supportive and loving mother to their two children. Lynn loved spending time with her family on the shores of the Great Lakes, especially Lake Superior, watching the waves or walking along the rocks.

She is preceded in death by father, Robert Pershing Smith Beyer and wife Nancy Beyer; mother, Jessie Florence (Kennard) Beyer; sisters, Roberta (Beyer) Brower and Janice (Beyer) Nunn; and special friend, Robert Felice of Beaver, Pennsylvania. Survived by son, Andrew (Amy) Kalbrener; daughter, Martha (Nathan) (Kalbrener) Hrobak; grandchildren, Hannah, Zachary and Milo; and sisters, Sharon (Rob) Saunders and Mona (Terry) Maxwell. Memorial service 12 PM on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Highway 65 NE, Fridley, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be held at Hunter's Creek Cemetery in Lapeer, Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association of Minnesota and North Dakota or the National Endowment for Alzheimer's Research at memorymatters.org
