Aledith Beatrice Lanum

Aledith "Ledie" Beatrice (Rand) Lanum

Aledith was born on February 21, 1933 In Jeffers, Mn. She passed away on July 19, 2024 at Allina Health, Mercy Hospital Unity Campus in Fridley, Mn.

Ledie, for short, graduated from Jeffers High School in 1951. Ledie married Norman DuWayne Lanum on October 5, 1952 In Osakis, Mn. To this marriage two children were born. Carlisle DuWayne on March 16, 1956 and Lori Theresa on May 12, 1959.

Aledith was a hard worker. For several years she would get up really early in the morning and drive Carl around for his paper route. Then she worked for several years in housekeeping at a local motel. Ledie loved her flowers and trees, particularly her African Violets on her window sill. She also had an interest in the Indigenous Heritage.

Aledith was preceded in death by husband Norman, son Carlisle, and daughter Lori. Survivors are sister-in-law Olga, nieces and nephews.

Ledie will be missed by her loved ones, neighbors and friends.
