Alan Hines

Alan Charles Hines, of Fridley, passed away on June 21, 2023. He was 92 years old.

Alan was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; sister, Leola Hines.

He is survived by his daughters, Janine (Pat) Matthews, Diane (Brian) Wheeler, and Teresa (Barth) Reding; 7 grandchildren: Jenna, Sarah, Jeff, Andrea, Amy, Richelle, and Nathan; 9 great-grandchildren: Hannah, Hailey, Kash, Sawyer, Indie, Logan, Dylan, Luke and Valerie; other loving family and friends, with appreciation to all his wonderful neighbors, especially Dori and Bob, and Debbie.

Al Hines, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather lived 92 years.

Many people called him friend, some going all the way back to college days.

An educator and lifelong learner, he was a part of many incredible communities including his neighborhood and teacher friends. He loved the outdoors, growing tomatoes and apples and sharing his harvests. Cookie Day and holidays with family were special to him. If he could pick any diet, it would be coke, chips and chocolate.

His heartfelt laugh will be remembered.

Visitation at 2:00 p.m. and Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26th at Church of St. William in Fridley.

Inurnment will be at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
