Olson, Adolph M. "Ole" age 83 of Fridley passed away on January 10th. Born, August 29, 1927. Survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Donna; children, David (Marge), Mark, Annette (Victor) Sandler, John (Julie); grandchildren, Matthew Olson, Rebecca and Amy Malinsky, Katelyn and Samantha Olson; siblings, Lois, Delores, Gloria, Betty, Emil Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Jessie; brothers, Stanley and Eugene; and son-in-law, Howard Malinsky. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Alaska and Colorado. He graduated from Gale Institute and worked for the Soo Line Railroad for 42 years. He loved dancing, fishing, camping and Texas. For many years, he volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. He led the Cub Scouts Drill Team that traveled around Minnesota and won many awards. He created the Boy Scouts Fishing Deby in Glenwood, Minnesota that became a regional and national event, for this he received the WCCO Good Neighbor Award. We would like to thank the staff of Fairview Hospice, especially Sandra, Julie, Becky, Patricia, Dana, Dale and Abe. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14th at 11:00AM at St. Williams Catholic Church, 6120 - 5th St. NE, Fridley. Visitation is one hour prior to service.
