Adelbert Lunz

Adelbert Carl Lunz of Columbia Heights passed away Apri 13th, 2017 after losing his battle with cancer. He was 69 years old. Preceded in death by his parents Oswald and Freda Lunz (Lange), all of his uncles and aunts, and many of his cousins. Many friends, cousins and their children and grandchildren survive him.

Adelbert worked for Smith Brothers Service, Inc. in downtown Minneapolis managing their parking lots for over 45 years. After his father died of cancer on June 16, 1971, Adelbert took care of his mother. He was able to take her and his aunt and uncle Dr. John and Elsie Stach on many trips through United States, even to Hawaii, Germany and the Caribbean. After their passing he continued to show the same love and care for his cousins living nearby including Dave Hansen and Rose Babcock by accompanying or taking them to family events and vacations to Brownsville, Texas.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior on Saturday, May 6th at at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 7700 Monroe St NE, Spring Lake Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Internment Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis at a later date to be determined.
